TRAFFIX has undertaken ‘high level’ traffic studies as well as detailed traffic studies in support of staged development of new residential and industrial sub-divisions and new land release areas, throughout the Sydney metropolitan area. For high-level assessments, the focus is placed on the establishment of a suitable road hierarchy, with identification of infrastructure constraints and opportunities. For more detailed development applications, TRAFFIX is able to bring to bear a wide range of computer modelling techniques to review and assess all available infrastructure upgrades, to confirm road cross sections and to assess access requirements for cars and service vehicles. Such studies also typically involve extensive consultation with councils and RMS.
