For existing hotels, this usually relates to the formulation of a ‘base case’ traffic and parking study, against which ongoing expansion plans can be tested and assessed. For new hotels, we have a large database upon which to build your assessment, noting that RMS Guidelines adopt a methodology of assessment against a similar development.

PUBLIC DOMAIN

TRAFFIX works closely with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver public domain improvements throughout the Sydney. This has included involvement in award-winning projects such as the Sydney Water Police site in Pyrmont and in all cases, we work hard to achieve the objectives of urban designers while guiding them in relation to the traffic planning aspects of each project. MINING

TRAFFIX has undertaken Transport Assessment Studies in support of numerous coal and gold mines throughout NSW, including mines at Appin, Orange, Broken Hill and the Hunter Valley. These are very development-specific studies that involve an assessment of the suitability of the existing road network (capacity, safety, amenity),the identification of heavy vehicle routes, construction traffic impacts, operational traffic impacts and required road and intersection improvements across the affected road network. Mines typically create impacts in terms of the environmental amenity of residents in communities that are impacted, and the identification of suitable ameliorative measures.

GOVERNMENT

TRAFFIX has undertaken traffic studies on behalf of the Department of Defence, the Department of Commerce, Government Architects Office. We also did hundreds of extensive work for State and Local Government, local area traffic management, schools, hospitals, pedestrian studies, activity precincts, High Pedestrian Activity Area and even bicycle studies.
